International Love. Does it work?

Nowadays, with the technology, social network and opportunities of going overseas the chances of meeting new kinds of people and also people from around the world have increased a lot. And when it does happen, what are the chances of this romance to work out?

I can tell by my own experience that when you're dating someone from the country you're visiting can makes things easier and difficult at the same time. Why is that? Well, the native is familiar with  the language and everything  around and he/she can make your exchange or  your trip much more fun than it could be if you were by yourself. 

On the other hand, the native may not realize how difficult  the transition from your culture is to his/hers. A lot of misunderstandings may happen because you're not able to fully express yourself in the foreign language. Your lack of knowledge about the city may cause you some headaches and most of all, dealing with everything without your family.

However, if your partner is open to learn about your culture, tries to understand your habits and even make some effort to speak some words in your language, I believe it would be worthy experience. People may say it is impossible but there's a very good quote that says: “The impossible becomes possible if only your mind believes it.”  Chris Bradford. Make it happen!

Wish Me Luck!

Life sometimes puts a lot of pressure on us . To run away from this kind of hard times I found an exit way for myself: To think about three wishes which could make me feel awesome. The effect of this dream sometimes takes only 10 minutes but after that I won't feel upset like I did a little while ago.

Now I feel like I need to change my bad mood. Here we go!

There are so many courses that I want to take and so many sports that I want to learn how to play. Unfortunately they are all related with money.Surviving is hard which makes our world competitive. That's why almost every adult needs to have a job to buy what they need and try to guarantee their future. I don't want to work just to earn some money to pay my bills. I want to work to have different experiences. I don't want to worry about the payment. Every month I want to try a new job that I have never experienced before. Here comes my first wish; I need to win the lottery. Then I would not worry about the money and work, and could just focus on what I want to do.

My second wish is about writing a movie scripts which could be shot.I have 3 different stories. I'm ready to write them down but first I need to be encouraged. I don't want to prepare them just for my friends to read; I want to see them in movie theatres. It would be wonderful if I would meet a person who could work in movie business and can help me to make my dream come true. If I could only have some feed backs about my scripts it would be helpful too. Based on the feed backs I could decide if I had the talent or not.

I may not win the lottery and I may not be a famous script writer but I have found the cure of getting old! I don't have wrinkles, I'm not going to have any grey hair and I will be here while the world is changing everyday. Yes, this is my third wish. Forever young! Can you imagine how cool it would be? I did and felt so cool!

They say reality bites; I say dreams can make you fly. So let's not worry and let's keep follow our dreams. For my trip to follow mine, please wish me luck!

- I want to go on a trip around the world
- I want to forget worries

We sometimes imagine that our long cherished dream may come true someday. Specially, we want to accomplish what we want  when we are not allowed to do that. The most realistic wish for me is to get  my own cafe. Of course, it could be without too much effort. However, it is impossible in my situation now. I just want to do it as soon as possible! Actually, My dream was to become an interior designer when I was a middle school student. So, I will design  my own cafe myself after when I get it. Finally, I will enjoy making coffee and baking as well as making lots of money!

Add to this, I want to go on a trip to all countries. The world is huge and there are so many interesting things we can do. I have been to Europe, Japan, China and VANCOUVER. I can't remember everything I did. However, I'm sure that I will never forget the deep impression when I felt. I don't know whether I live to be a hundred or not. Thus, I'm going to travel widely and all I can in my time.  

Worries are killing me! I really wish that I would forget worries. How do I forget worries I have? Is there anybody who knows that ?  I can live much more easily if I could control those worries. When I'm trying to do something I've never tried before, I always face up some problems because of unnecessary worries. If I try again and again, I will realize sooner or later. Why are you hesitating ? Take it easy, Wendy!

Wishing wishes,1... 2...3...

All people have different wishes and priorities in their lives, some of them just wish for intangible things, other wish to have money to buy expensive things, such as cars, fancy clothes and accessories made by popular brands,  but If you had three wishes, what would you wish for???

My three wishes would be:

Happiness to all people, if all people would be happy, we would not have any worries about what is happening around the world. You could smile at everyone; we would have a harmonious life and  good communication amount us; the wars would  stop and  people wouldn't kill each other. The environment and the social life would be different, if we were happy with ourselves and the others.

Social equality, If people had  social equality, everybody would have the same opportunities to have a better lifestyle, we would have the same resources to get a good education, clothes and whatever we want, and  most importantly  poverty wouldn't exist.

Traveling,  finally I wish I could  travel around the world. In such in case,  I would have many experiences in my life, because I would visit a lot of places, I would learn more about different cultures and I would meet many people from different countries.

What Ability Of Super Hero Do You Want To Have?

 I think, every body has thought about this question in childhood, and sometimes we wish we had one ability of super hero. We know the abilities of classical super heroes and the new heroes  furthermore, we know about their strengths and weaknesses , so What would you do, if you had the possibility to choose the ability of a Super Hero?.

 This is my list of 3 whises that I have:

 First, I want to have the abilities of the spiderman, it can walk on wall and  roof, it has the power to sense when something is destructive, it can move very fast and in addition he is very strong, also It can jump very high and It can produce web. If I can have these powers, I can be a super star of sport. I'm very sure that I can play in all the famous teams of sport.

Second, I want the abilities to create fire and turn things into ice with my hands. can You imagine the things that you can do with these abilities?. If you want to cook some meal, you don't need to have a kitchen, also, you don't need to buy refrigerator. When you are bored, you can produce snow and play with that or you can practice some sports, for example, snowboarding or ice skating. When you are in  a night club, and somebody needs fire, you can light the cigarette. Furthermore, you can use this abilities to help the world, for example help when the forest is burn, because you can put it out with snow.

 The last but not the least ability that I wish to have is the ability to read the mind of other people. With this ability I can guess want another person wants, so with this ability you can produce very good business. The products that you can create will be sought after. With this ability you can conquer the heart of all women, because you can give all that they want, in the same way, you can become an excellent speaker and win the people in the events.

Now we are living in a technological society with televisions, mobile phones, computers, radios and many electrics devices as well. So we have no choice not to use these kind of stuff. We have to use them to live and connect with people and society. Can you imagine living your life without a cell phone and a computer? I say 'no'. The technology is useful for us to contact with someone, start a businesses and enjoy our life. On the other hand, it makes our life convenient. However, there are bad aspects about technology as well as good aspects.
First, let's think about virtues. As I mentioned, technology make our life convenient and make connections, also give us a lot of information. For instance, we can contact our family, friends, even strangers, and don't have to wait for a long time to use transportation. When we have something we don't know or wonder, we don't need to spend too much time to find it, thanks to the Internet and cell phones.

Second, although these electronic devices give us incredibly helpful things, they also have many vices which affect the life of people. I think the worst vice is about communication with people. The more people use them in their life, the less they find time to have oral communication each other. Nowadays, many people are addicted to cell phones. There are always cell phones in their hands. It means that they are always using their cell phone. Whenever they are eating and talking with other people, they don't communicate much with each other instead they use cell phones. Besides, they usually use text messaging, Kakaotalk, Line to contact someone, so usage of calling is getting reduced. The next problem I think is to make people lazy. For example, reduced movements, no challenge and no patience. Most people rely on their machines such as a cell phone, a computer and a navigation. They don't want to learn something difficult for over a long period of time.

For these reasons, I think sometimes we need to disconnect with electronics and connect with real people in our society instead. We must not be a slave of the electronics and have to know how to control using cell phones and computers. If we can have self-control, our society would be much more friendly and vigorous.

Mobile communication technology: Vices or Virtues?

 Have you felt vibration your pocket when there is no phone in it? No?! Sorry, I do not believe you. I feel this all the time until now even though mine was stolen two days ago and it is not with me. If you are like me, you are also addicted to mobile communication technologies. I do not deny that these technologies and devices have enriched our lives; it does not let you feel bored when you are commuting and traveling or when you have nothing else to do. However, beyond that it has so many vices for example, addictions, ironic isolation, and mental hazards.


 Do you use your smart phone smartly? Well, I do not and probably you do not either. The first purpose of such inventions was making people's life easier by providing mobility of technology so that people can check their e-mails and play games at any places and time. It also has made it possible for people to access information and work easily. How is it used now? On the contrary and to disappointment of many of us, mobile communication technology met bad friends; facebook, games and Kakao tok. They meant to help us to communicate with others but it seems that it is not going well as it was meant. We glance at our Galaxy too much for nothing; open Facebook 20times a day, play games that are not interesting anymore. I mean  you  play games  and ask yourself why you have been doing that for  two hours.


 Addiction also leads to isolation for instance, I go to school do facebook during the break time and do not talk with my friends; I go to the gym do facebook and do not work out with other people; I go home and do facebook and do not talk with roommates. Those may not be typical scenes of isolation but they are. We face so many people each day but we use our own gadgets and do not talk. Does that work same way even when it comes to when you are the person who you adore? I hope damn no.

 Finally, mobile technologies are hazardous not only for adults but also children. These gadgets have made me, the 21-year old grown up Jude, a slave to them. He will not be able to live without them even though he is writing about their vices. Then, how will these machines affect children? Once I read a shocking article that electronic devices change the shape of  the brain of children. According to it, since electronic devices do not require any higher level of consideration, it eventually make children's brain not to think deeply. Isn't that really scary news?  


 I do believe that it is absolutely necessary to regulate usage of mobile communication technologies. We must not allow them to harm us anymore. To put it in a nutshell, we have to use mobile communication technologies smartly and live as their owner not as their slaves.

How can we resolve : Disconnect to Connect ?

Technology shows our efforts and ability in inventions that have been made since long time ago. It also  encouraged us to come up with lots of good ideas to make new inventions such as I Phone, IPAD.
Of course, modern technology helps us to live much more easily. However, We must see both sides of this issue. If we are dependent on  technology, sooner or later we are going to be alone. I mean, it makes us communicate less with other people.

 

How many hours do we have to do activities with a lot of people ? There are various things in the world. We don't have enough time to do that. Now, It's time to come up with special things which could be done with people for our social life. For example, we can go on a trip by a car using a GPS device. We will enjoy spending time with family as well as having help from GPS.


Besides, We can exercise with friends whenever we want. How can we do that ? Just suppose that we can take some exercise regardless of weather if we have a WII. Also, we can be more friendly with someone who we meet for the first time when we meet by doing activities , not only talking.

Listen attentively to the voice of someone  instead of concentrating on phone. If we don't have any communication with each other in relationship, we also can't come up with any ideas.

The last revolution of the humanity was created by technology. From that moment society has changed in different ways, one of the views is optimistic because the globalization began, the enterprise have new ways to recollect information, the new Marketing methods have appeared and the people have new channels of communication. At the same time lots of people are against this trand of globalization and the invasion of the personal information by companies nowadays. That's why some people think that the they have less communication.

The fact is that technology advances and the evolution continues. Nobody can stop the progress, and nowadays it is difficult to live without  technology. If it is true that we need a balance between technology and social interaction,  Where do you think  the problem is?.. Why the technology have vices?

The answers to this questions depend on each person and how the people use Technology, I want to illustrate this with a  sentence "One gun is not able able to kill another person alone, the gun needs somebody to press the trigger" , so What do you do with the technology?

I think the Virtues that technology can give us is more important, and some day with help of technology, the society can git together and try to look at the common well-being. One example of this is the space station that was created by USA and Russia, two country's  that in the past had problems, but they worked together to do something.

Keeping technological life..?

Nowadays, people keep in touch through devices such as cellphones and laptops, and do you know why? let me give you some reasons that are the most important to me .
People create this type of independence from their devices, because technology is being one of the tools that makes our life easier. Almost all of us usually use some devices, it doesn't matter if it's expensive or cheap,  because we feel that this is indispensable to our lifestyle and we think this is the best way to keep in touch with people who are around us. For example, when you need a favor or information, just  click or push on an option and you get the information and send the message, and that's all, it's great, right???

Technology allows the interaction between people who live in different countries, also you can surf the Internet and find what you are looking for, the connetion between these gadgets and people is really incredible, wespecially feel  that our cellphone is a part of us, and when we lose it or we leave it in our home, the feeling is really bad, because we feel that we are not in touch with the world  and we don't have anything to connect to.

In fact, the advantages to be connected with people through these gadgets  is easy and you get whatever you want just in a minute, but what happen when you let your machine manages your life, you spend a lot of time looking at your cellphones and you don't pay attention to people who are with you in that moment, you lose important details in your life, because you are only interested int knowing what is happening in your social networking side or you just lose your time sending messages.

Communication between people  is being conditioned by the revolution of technology and this dependence will be growing if we allow that our devices take control of our life.

The apple generation! that's what we should be called. Ipod's, Ipad's and Mac's. Technology is everywhere and the more it evolves, the more difficult it gets to think independently without it. It has made our lives a lot easier. For example: You can talk with a person that is in another country very easily and sometimes you don't have even to pay anything for that.

However, until what point is it acceptable to have technology around? the evolution of technology has made mankind think less. And the reader of this blog would ask: Why that? Well, we don't have to think, the computer thinks by itself and gives us the answers. Also we spend less time doing outdoor activities. we spend our time on our cell phones, computers and videogames.We are all the time connected to the world but at the same time we are not!

Specially when we talk about the education it's clear that the Internet and its social networks have changed the whole idea about learning. It has brought great development but also has changed relationship among people.

We have to remember that even though technology is really helpful it should have a limit. Putting a boundary that we are a thinker society and in the end we are the one who should manipulate it not the ones who are manipulated by.

Are humans the most dangerous species in the World?

The human species has been growing up for miles of years, we've been acquiring the knowledge to create our tools and food to survive.

Through the years, we've been discovering the most interesting things like the fire, how to grow crops and the electricity, that have helped us to have a better life. For example, we found how to make machines, cars and all kind of things that help us to do everything more easy; there are a lot of examples about these discoveries, but not all of them have been discovered to take care of own specie or all around us.

Since humans acquired the knowledge, they've been creating all kind of things that you can imagine, nowadays we can go to the moon and Mars, the researches had found the cure for diverse diseases, but also we've

destroyed our nature like trees and rivers to create medicaments, builds, houses  and hotels.

The most dangerous is that we can create things to kill ourselves, such as, missiles and bombs, that are used to kill people like in the World War II, the atomic bomb killed thousands of people, this event had a lot of consequences, after the bomb, the survivors development a lot of kinds of cancer and babies who were born after this, also we've been doing chemical products to accelerate the growth in crops and animals, but this products have been occasioning that people get health problems.

The unique difference between other species and humans is the reason, but what have been happening with our mind, we haven't been aware the consequences about our invents. All people created a wonderful things, but they have to think what will happen in our world with that kind of things, we've been destroying our planet and the resources that we need to survive.

We created a good things, but also have been killing our future.

 Every achievement or development has negative side even though that has great side; for example, Eifle tower in Paris, one of its landmarks, had dominant disagreement consensus before it was built. In Korea, likewise, before it built highway that links Seoul, its capital and Busan, second biggest city in it many people against it because there seemed it would be in no use. However, those became the most successful projects in its own country; it has brought a lot of fortune, made people's life easier, boost its economy and eventually it has remained as successful project.

 Vancouver is facing similar case with its pipe line that will convey oil from Alberta to British Columbia, more precisely its port, to import. Since it is the very beginning of the project, there are a lot of controversy regarding finance, responsibility when it has an accident and environment.

 Voices from agreeing are that because building pipelines make oil import easier so it offers more job opportunity, brings lots of fortunes from other countries and helpful for economy. On the other hand, people who against it are mainly worrying about the environment; for coming reasons such as leaking in the pipe line.

 The answer is, in a nut shell, take responsibilities fairly Alberta and British Columbia. Also hear voices from people against this and supple it. You both are still state of Canada not seperated countries.

Neighbours, yeah... but business is business!

Your neighbour wants to pass a pipeline through your backyard to be able to water his kitchen garden in the other side, as it is his livelihoods. You won't receive anything for providing him your space. He will take about 2 months to get it all set. Machinery will make lots of noise day and night. Your neighbour will be earning money, while you will be being stressed out with his business. Should you let him pass the pipeline though your backyard? Well, now you know the situation that British Columbia needs to handle with regard to the oil of Alberta. Alberta wants to pass a pipeline through British Columbia to transport its oil to the port and over seas. But think about the stress of the setting of the pipes and later of the risk of future leaks and pollution and not receiving anything for this. In my opinion, everything has a price, and Alberta should pay a fair price for this, after all they will earn lots of money with this venture, and they also need to think if it were the other way round.

Pipeline through Vancouver

  

There are a lot of problems that might come to Vancouver and its people because of a future pipeline.  People are afraid because of the project to create the Northern Gateway from Alberta to British Columbia. The government is expecting to create more jobs and increase Canada's oil export revenues, but the damage it can cause is enormous. 

The people have started to protest about this, because this project will cause a natural disaster, to implement this project they need to create a pipeline, where the oil will be passed through the city.  Making this project, they would affect part of the nature in British Columbia, but  what about the damage if the pipeline is damaged? It will be a really big disaster; the people who live close to the area would have serious environmental problems. The land and the natural resources, such as the water could mix with the oil.

On the other hand, the government is really interested in this project, because they think, that it will bring benefits to people, because it creates more opportunities, such as, new jobs and the the financial situation of the city will be improving, and if they have more exports, they will get a positive result to the economy.

Now, this is a big challenge to the government to try to convince  the protesters and all of people who are worried about this project.
