Torta de la Barda
It's a typical dish from the southern of Tamaulipas, Mexico.
Emerged around 1950 in Tampico, Tamaulipas. It was invented by a family dedicated to the sale of mexican Tortas.
It was called that way because the place that they were sold was located near to the border fence, barda in spanish, that separated the railway, pier and customs house of the city.
Recipe
- Salt pan
- Thinly sliced ham
- Thinly sliced pork cheese
- Refried black beans
- Pork chicharron in salsa verde
- Thin slices of yellow cheese
- Cow milled cheese
- Chorizo (pork)
- Shredded Beef
- Tomato and onion
- avocado
Preparation
- First open the bread in half without separating.
- Spread the beans on the walls of bread.
- Add a little of chorizo, ham slices, slices of pork cheese.
- Then add some lettuce, tomato and onion, chicharon sauce, avocado, cheese and meat shredded.
- In the end put 2 slices of ham on the top.
